Talking Kitchens, Bathrooms & Renovations: How Do I Stop My Kitchen From Going Out Of Style?
How can I stop my kitchen from going out of style? I guess that’s like saying “How can I stop the sun from rising tomorrow morning?”
The simple fact of the matter is everything we buy, on the one hand, yeah, it goes out of style, but at the same time, like platform shoes, they come back again, too, probably changed, in the future.
What Is The Purpose Of The Renovation?
There’s a circle, and right now we’re seeing black and we’re seeing brass and you can probably say they are trends at the moment, and they’ll have a lifespan.
However, I have a general view that says if I’m renovating to sell right now and I want the extra wow factor, I’ll probably use a very much on-trend look.
If, on the other hand, I’m redesigning and renovating for ten or fifteen years going forward, I’ll probably choose something that’s a bit more classic.
So, it’s not so much a matter of “Is it trendy?” but rather “How long am I going to stay in the house and what am I hoping to achieve long-term aesthetically?”
