A Classic Bathroom Renovation and Powder Room Renovation by LTKI led by Samantha Reaby.
This project transcends simple updates, redefining a classic bathroom and powder room within a home rich in traditional Period style, while infusing modern elements to strike a perfect balance between old-world charm and contemporary chic.
Initiated with a vision to maintain the architectural integrity of the home, the redesign also aimed to deliver a fresh, modern vibe. The layout of the adjoining hallway and an unused space off the living area was thoughtfully reconfigured to enhance functionality and flow, proving that thinking outside the box can deliver big results.
The renovation boasts luxurious marble tiles laid in an intricate herringbone pattern and premium fixtures from Victoria & Albert and Gareth Ashton, transforming ordinary spaces into a haven of elegance. The thoughtful integration of a bespoke vanity and strategically placed cabinetry in the powder room exemplifies the project’s commitment to maximising space without compromising on style.
Structural modifications were key, with the expansion of the hallway to better connect the kitchen, dining, and living areas to the front of the home. This significantly enhanced the home’s flow and natural light. A new powder room was built next to the bathroom which repurposed an unused space between the living and dining areas. These changes not only improved the functional aspects of the home but also its overall ambience.
Attention to detail is evident in every corner of the project, from the selection of two-pack painted profiled doors to the precise lighting that accentuates the newly renovated spaces. Samantha’s personal touch shines through in the redesigned hallway and the careful curation of the soft grey/blue colour palette, both of which enhance the home’s character and functionality.
The Camberwell Project is a testament to how traditional aesthetics can seamlessly blend with modern functionality. Creating spaces that are not only visually stunning but also perfectly suited to contemporary living.
