The Ivanhoe East Project

A Modern Home Transformation

Designed by Noemi Nagy from LTKI

Welcome to The Ivanhoe Project, where a well loved but tired 1950s house undergoes a remarkable transformation into a contemporary home with a European-inspired, sleek, and streamlined aesthetic. With a vision to create stunning and practical living spaces, the redesign focused on meeting the homeowners’ desire for a harmonious and serene environment.

The kitchen, featuring a breathtaking Blue Roma quartzite island, serves as the heart of the home, blending elegance and functionality. Practical storage solutions include a revolving lazy susan corner hardware, lift-up overhead cabinetry and ample drawer storage throughout. A secret entrance to the adjoining laundry, walk-in-pantry and powder room is seamlessly integrated with the cabinetry.

In the bedroom we have installed floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, to maximise space and ensure every item has its place. Throughout the home we have incorporated considered upgrades such as double glazed windows for enhanced comfort and noise reduction, porcelain tiles, and brushed nickel tapware.

The renovation involved significant structural changes, including expanding the kitchen footprint and incorporating modern appliances, all while balancing practicality and beauty. The bathrooms emphasise spaciousness and comfort, with sophisticated touches like green and blue feature tiles, frameless shower screens, and luxurious fixtures. Thoughtful changes in texture and lighting, particularly in the upstairs landing, enhance the mood and ambience of the home.

The homeowners were thrilled with the outcome, appreciating the ample storage, luxurious bathrooms, and calming colour schemes that have replaced the outdated 1950s aesthetic.

The Ivanhoe Project exemplifies how thoughtful design and high-quality materials can transform a dated house into a modern, functional, and visually stunning home. If you’re ready to start your own renovation, reach out to our team at LTKI.

Client Reviews

We were very impressed with their desire to achieve the best outcome, with the space available and how to use it in a more efficient way.

The finished result looks fantastic. It's very functional and fits in really well with the look of the rest of the house.

They were always on time. Attention to details, very courteous and professional. Rebecca's excellent designs, quality of products and services are second to none. The projects went very well. I'm extremely happy with my new bathroom, kitchen & laundry.

I took the recommendation to use LTKI. Not only did they work to schedule and on budget I also had the benefit of Rebecca Meyer's artistic design. I just let Rebecca do it all. Best decision I ever made. I won't ever bother trying to manage a home project again.

The team at LTKI did a terrific job on renovating our bathroom, kitchen and living areas of our large family home. Mark's designs and creativity were more than we could have imagined. Everyone associated with the project were very supportive and made what could of been stressful into a manageable and easy process. All the trades involved were very reliable, professional and easy to get along with. We are extremely happy with the final outcome and look forward to working with this awesome team on our next project.

After contacting Rex to try and get a fix for our builder installed kitchen. He came out, offered great advice, and directed us to a tradesman that fixed our problem. Even though this didn't result in work for LTKI took the time and effort to help us when no one else would.

An outstanding job. Only two hiccups First, when installing Qasair range hood, it was discovered that we had the wrong type for an induction stove top. Trouble was that the correct range hood was 30mm thicker. This required a complete replacement of the cupboards. Second, the induction cook top was put too far forward in the Corian bench top. Most of the bench tops had to be replaced. In both cases the problems were fixed at no expense to the client. Very impressed
