Welcome to The Ivanhoe Project, where a well loved but tired 1950s house undergoes a remarkable transformation into a contemporary home with a European-inspired, sleek, and streamlined aesthetic. With a vision to create stunning and practical living spaces, the redesign focused on meeting the homeowners’ desire for a harmonious and serene environment.
The kitchen, featuring a breathtaking Blue Roma quartzite island, serves as the heart of the home, blending elegance and functionality. Practical storage solutions include a revolving lazy susan corner hardware, lift-up overhead cabinetry and ample drawer storage throughout. A secret entrance to the adjoining laundry, walk-in-pantry and powder room is seamlessly integrated with the cabinetry.
In the bedroom we have installed floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, to maximise space and ensure every item has its place. Throughout the home we have incorporated considered upgrades such as double glazed windows for enhanced comfort and noise reduction, porcelain tiles, and brushed nickel tapware.
The renovation involved significant structural changes, including expanding the kitchen footprint and incorporating modern appliances, all while balancing practicality and beauty. The bathrooms emphasise spaciousness and comfort, with sophisticated touches like green and blue feature tiles, frameless shower screens, and luxurious fixtures. Thoughtful changes in texture and lighting, particularly in the upstairs landing, enhance the mood and ambience of the home.
The homeowners were thrilled with the outcome, appreciating the ample storage, luxurious bathrooms, and calming colour schemes that have replaced the outdated 1950s aesthetic.
The Ivanhoe Project exemplifies how thoughtful design and high-quality materials can transform a dated house into a modern, functional, and visually stunning home. If you’re ready to start your own renovation, reach out to our team at LTKI.
